'Tussle' With Aurora Cops Leads To Felony Charges For Plano Man
The man allegedly became "belligerent and argumentative" in the "tussle," which left police with minor scrapes.

AURORA, IL --- A Plano man faces multiple felony charges after what Aurora police are describing as a "tussle" with law enforcement after a routine traffic stop early Monday. Tyler J. Morris, 30, of the 400 block of E. Main St., Plano, allegedly became "belligerent and argumentative" when dealing with police who pulled him over in the 700 block of E. New York Ave. for failing to use a turn signal.
The alleged "tussle" left officers with minor scrapes, but no major injuries, police say.
Police say Morris did not use his turn signal when he turned off of Lincoln Avenue onto New York Street around 12:15 a.m. They then followed Morris into a parking lot, where he allegedly got out of his car and was in an "agitated and uncooperative state," according to a post on the Aurora Police Department Facebook page.

Morris allegedly resisted being handcuffed by one officer, which required a second officer to be called to the scene. After Morris was taken into custody, police say he continued to "threaten the officers" as they were booking him into jail.
After the incident, Morris was charged with resisting arrest, aggravated assault, and DUI. He was also cited with failure to signal.
