Volunteers Needed To Help Deliver Frozen Meals To Senior Citizens
People interested can sign up to help deliver boxed meals to seniors on either July 13 or July 20.
AURORA, IL — Locals wanting to spend some time volunteering have the opportunity to do so and help senior citizens. AmeriCorps Seniors is looking for people to deliver frozen meals in southern Kane County on July 13 and July 20.
Volunteers will pick up boxed meals between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. both days from the group's Aurora senior center, located at 2111 Plum St., and deliver them to seniors. Pick-up will take place on the first floor at the center.
People wanting to help can contact Deborah Lee Sheppard at dsheppard@seniorservicesassoc.org to receive two forms to fill out: one for enrollment and one for a background check. From there, she will provide those interested with additional information.
