AURORA, IL — What started as a case of alleged infidelity ended up with an Aurora woman being charged with holding a knife to her husband's throat and setting his clothes on fire. Rosanda Taylor, of the first block of N. Kendall Street, has been charged with aggravated domestic battery and aggravated arson in connection with the Sunday morning incident.

Police say Taylor's 37-year-old husband called around 1 a.m. to report that Taylor had driven off in a blue Chevy Malibu after "destroying the residence." When police got to the scene, they saw heavy smoke coming from the house and found a fire in the second-floor bedroom where Taylor is accused of setting fire to her husband's clothes.

Taylor's husband and their children, ages 5 months and 12 years old, were safely out of the house when police and Aurora Fire Department arrived.
