Woman Bites Off Ear During Attack On Housemate: Aurora Police
Authorities say the attack happened while she was watching TV with a housemate.

AURORA, IL --- An Aurora woman is accused of causing "great bodily harm" after she allegedly bit off a person's ear during a domestic dispute. Nelida Mendoza, 59, of the 1000 block of Jericho Road, has been charged with aggravated domestic battery in connection with the incident.
Police say Mendoza was watching TV with the victim Sunday evening when they got into an argument. During the altercation, Mendoza allegedly bit off the victim's right ear. Police were reportedly notified about the alleged attack after the victim went to a local hospital for treatment.
Mendoza is currently being held in Kane County Jail on $70,000 bond. She is set to appear in court again on Nov. 28.
