Cops Arrest Juvenile In Shooting Death Of Aurora Woman, 23
The juvenile was charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Jeanette Luna, 23.
AURORA, IL — A juvenile has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the fatal shooting of an Aurora woman Wednesday. Police say the juvenile fired the gun that killed Jeanette Luna, 23, around 2 p.m. and then fled the residence in the 500 block of South LaSalle Street.
Few details were available at press time, but police say they are currently following up on leads.
Aurora police found Luna inside of the home with a gunshot wound and attempted to perform CPR, but she was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Police and forensics technicians were at the scene of the fatal shooting for the remainder of the day collecting evidence. Around 9 p.m., they found the juvenile inside of his Aurora home and took him into custody.
In addition to involuntary manslaughter, the suspect was also charged with unlawful use of a weapon with no FOID.
