Woman Killed In Early Morning House Fire In Aurora Township
Fire officials say the fire was so intense that they could not enter the building.
AURORA TOWNSHIP, IL — A woman is dead after a fire tore through a home in Aurora Township early Tuesday. Tamara Garcia, 56, was found deceased in her home in the 1100 block of State Street after the blaze, fire officials said.
When firefighters got to the scene just after 5:30 a.m., they say the home was "fully engulfed." The flames were so intense that rescue crews were unable to enter the home, according to a news release from the Kane County Sheriff's Office.
The Kane County Sheriff's Office is working with the Kane County Fire Investigation Task Force to investigate the cause of the fire, but no foul play is suspected.
