Illinois tollway officials say the hikes will fund a massive 15-year, $26.5 billion program to reduce congestion and modernize the system, but many drivers worry about the added financial strain.

• Jill E. McCaw (boonecountydailynews.com) — Many longtime residents may remember Jill Elaine (Showers) McCaw, who graduated from high school in Barrington in 1974 and went on to a long career in the steel industry and healthcare. She later settled in Missouri, where she built a close-knit family, and her visitation and services will be held this week in Mexico, Missouri and Lebanon, Indiana.
