Blaze Damages Roof at Willow Creek in South Barrington

The blaze broke out at about 7 p.m. on Monday at the South Barrington church.

SOUTH BARRINGTON, IL - Classes and services were back up and running at Willow Creek Community Church following a small fire that broke out on the roof above staff offices at the church’s South Barrington campus Monday night.

Construction caused the small fire to break out on the roof of the church, Heather Larson, executive pastor at Willow Creek Community Church, said in a Facebook post Monday night. No one was injured in the blaze, which was reported at about 7 p.m. on Monday at the church at 67 Algonquin Road.

The fire remains under investigation.
