The Missions Commission of the Barrington United Methodist Church and Saint Anne Catholic Community invite the community to a rare local opportunity to hear acclaimed Chicago and international jazz guitarist Father John Moulder perform a benefit concert for Family Service of Barrington Area on Saturday, August 16, 2014. Cited as "One of the most dynamic guitarists in America" by Jazz Critic Howard Reich of the Chicago Tribune, John Moulder will be accompanied by vibropnonist Ken Hall. In a tantalizing match of instruments, the two musicians create a musical dialogue in which guitar and vibes weave together in an intriguing and uplifting presentation.
The concert is sponsored by Barrington Bank & Trust Company, N.A.. It will be held at the Barrington United Methodist Church, 98 Algonquin Road, corner of Routes 59 and 62, Barrington Hills.
A free-will offering will be accepted to benefit the mission and services of Family Service of Barrington Area, the community’s oldest social service agency. Light refreshments and fellowship will follow the concert. Please contact the Barrington United Methodist Church with questions at 847-836-5540.
