Barrington, IL…Interested in learning more about how you can take part in a community supported and shared agriculture and/or learn about the art and science of gardening? Join us for the March 21st Green Drinks meeting to hear Dominic Green, the founding farmer of “The Gentleman Farmer”, an emerging sustainable farm in Barrington, talk about CSA, Community-Supported Agriculture and Dicie Hansen, Chief Gardening Officer at Smart Farm, talk about her passion for gardening vegetables, and helping those most in need in the community. The event will start at 6:00p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, at McGonigal’s Pub, Barrington.
Green Drinks is a monthly informal networking events network with like-minded people who are working to improve the planet and who enjoy a little fun with their eco-consciousness. The “fun side of environmental awareness” demonstrates that being good to the Earth does not have to be difficult or expensive. The goal is to bring together all who share a passion for the environment in a casual, fun, unstructured way to learn, share ideas and make a difference—locally.
