Mark your calendars for monday, December 13th, from 6:30 - 8:45 pm...it's a holiday bash, Toastmasters-style!
It started last year with the Cary Grove Holiday Open house, which ended up being hosted by the entire NW1 Area. This event had almost 40 in attendance, with representation from 14 clubs. It was wildly successful, and a great time was had by all!
This year it's going to be even better! Here's a little teaser on what you can expect:
* We are reprising our 'reverse Word of the Day', AKA The Jingle Bell Game. This is a LOT of fun, and far more challenging than you may think.
* FIVE speakers...2 who are finishing up their CC manuals and 2 former district champions, all from NW1. Our keynote speaker will be our guest, Rudy Segovia, this year's NW Division champion in both International Speech & Humorous Speech contests.
* Our Toastmaster of the Day will be another special guest, 2010 Toastmaster of the Year, Jerry Evans.
* Numerous District Council members participating and in attendance.
* Door prizes galore!
* Come hungry, because there will be lots of goodies to mow on.
* This will be an extraordinary networking opportunity for all in attendance!
* Holiday attire not only allowed - it's encouraged! There will be a prize for the most creative attire.
The event will be held on Monday, December 13th, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm in the lower level meeting room at the Eastgate branch of the Algonquin Public Library. (This is the regular meeting location for Toast of Algonquin.) The Eastgate branch is located a half block south of the intersection of Eastgate Dr & Algonquin Rd in Algonquin, IL. This intersection is approximately 1/4 mile East of Rt 31.
