Barrington Offers Fresh Catch
Saida's Seafood Market & Café opens its doors on Northwest Highway.
Barrington residents craving fresh fish for dinner won't have to look far.
There's a a new seafood market now open in Barrington, and owners say they're selling the freshest fish in town.
Saida's Fresh Seafood Market & Café, a family-owned-and-operated establishment, recently opened in Barrington at 421 N. Northwest Highway. It is located in the space formerly occupied by Entertaining Tuna.

Saida and Ernesto Candia, the owners of Saida's, are no strangers to the seafood business. The couple used to work at Diamond Seafood in Lake Barrington, so they said it seemed natural to open up a similar shop in Barrington.
"I worked for years in Lake Barrington and most customers know me and my husband," Saida Candia said.

The Candias also own another store by the same name in St. Charles, which they opened in 2006. Saida's receives daily shipments of fresh fish including tuna, halibut, shrimp, scallops, salmon and more.
"Our product is fresh daily and never frozen," she said.
The market also has an assortment of frozen seafood such as mussels, Australian lobster tails and red king crab legs. The market also sells sauces or rubs to enhance the seafood dishes.
Saida's Fresh Seafood Market & Café offers a dine-in menu of fish tacos, sandwiches, salads and quesadillas, as well as a catering and party tray menu.
Retail hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Café hours for dine-in or carry out are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
