Frugal Family: Toy Discounts, Whole Chickens on Sale

This week, Frugal Family scoured our local sources to come up with great deals for local families.

1. Whole uncooked chickens will be on sale Friday, Nov. 11 at Whole Foods Palatine for $1.29 per pound. 10 whole chickens per person limit.

2. Shop online at Smashing Golf & Tennis now through Dec. 3 and 10 percent of the sale will go to Barrington Junior Women’s Club charities. Must use code BJWC75. Shoppers will also receive 20 percent off their purchase.

3. Head to Learning Express Toys in Ice House Mall on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to decorate a plate for Christmas. The plate costs $7. Also, wear any Crazy Hat and receive 25 percent off one item.
