Lane Reductions and Roadwork on Route 68

Lane reductions will occur along Illinois Route 68 in Barrington Hills, Inverness and Palatine for a resurfacing project as of Monday, March 30.

The eastern and western directions of Route 68 between Illinois Route 59 (Hawthorne Road) and U.S. Route 12 (Rand Road) will have daytime closures and traffic will be reduced to one lane with flaggers, according to IDOT.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area.
