Man Killed by Metra Train Between Barrington and Palatine Stations Saturday
The incident happened near Quentin Road and Colfax Street.

A 30-year-old man was struck and killed by a Metra train Saturday night at about 9:30 p.m. between the Palatine and Barrington stations, just west of downtown Palatine near Quentin Road and Colfax Street, according to a Metra spokeswoman. Palatine police told the Daily Herald the man’s identity was being withheld pending notification of family. The Union Pacific Northwest line train was held up for about two hours after the incident.
