McFun for Spring Wood McTeachers

On Thursday, February 19th, Spring Wood Middle School held a McTeacher’s Night at the McDonald’s at 1050 E. Lake St. in Hanover Park.  Teachers took over the restaurant serving up delicious meals to students and families to raise money for the school.  Many teachers worked very hard including:  McTeachers Paganis, Glista, Yanni, Aliano, Neufeldt, Foege, Zika, Powell and Coppola.  The McTeachers worked the drive-thru, greeted customers, cleaned the lobby, worked the front counter , served ice cream and even sang for tips!  Spring Wood McTeachers had it all covered and the families all had a great time!  The school plans to use the money to go into a fund for buses for various field trips.  Lots of students, families and friends came out to support the school.  All the kids came to see their teachers work at the Hanover Park McDonald’s.  A special appearance by Principal Barringer and Assistant Principal Bocian helped make this fundraiser a memorable evening.  Special thank you goes to Melissa Thorsen who organized the entire event.  McTeacher’s Night was courtesy of the Hanover Park McDonald’s owner/operator, Jan Nelson.  For more information about events provided by the Hanover Park McDonald’s, contact their Community Relations Director, Julie.travers@Comcast.net or visit their website at mcillino
