Parts of Northwest Highway Closed
Two lanes of Northwest Highway are closed to ensure the safety of passerby.

If you're headed along Northwest Highway toward Mt. Prospect, you may want to change your route. The Daily Herald reports that a portion of the road is closed because officials fear a building in the community may collapse.
The two lanes will remain closed until Thursday afternoon, because officials say the Tri-State Electronics building at 200 W. Northwest Highway, is structurally unsound and could collpase, the publication reports. The damage occured after a partial roof collapse Tuesday. No one was hurt in the incident.
