PHOTOS: Local Business Uses Fashion's Night Out for a Good Cause

Originally started in 2009, Fashion's Night Out is a global initiative create to celebrate fashion and boost the economy simultaneously. 

On Sept. 8, more than 250 cities nationwide, including Barrington, participated in the event, opening doors to customers for a little fashion and fun. 

Local business used the event to raise money for a good cause. The store raised more than $1,500 in just three hours for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. The money raised for JDRF will support Ricky's Ramblers as they walk as part of the Ron Santo walk to cure Diabetes on Oct. 2, 2011.  Ricky, a Barrington resident, was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at the age of 2 and this will be his 5th year of walking for a cure.  

also participated in raising money for JDRF. They held a wine tasting inside of Mia Sorella and donated 25 percent of sales to the cause.
