Arrest Made In June Retirement Community Burglaries: Batavia PD
A woman, 41, was brought into custody on an arrest warrant in connection with burglaries that happened late at night on June 18.

BATAVIA, IL — A woman has been arrested Monday in connection to burglaries that happened between June 19-21 at a retirement community on Hawks Drive, police said.
Ronda V. Wilson, of the 1000 block of Garfield Boulevard in Chicago, was brought into custody at the Batavia Police Department and later transported to the Kane County jail to await a bond hearing. The 41-year-old is charged with two counts of residential burglary, one count of burglary and eight counts of unlawful use of a credit card.
The woman forced entry, causing minor damage, into a retirement community in the 2400 block of Hawks Drive between 10 p.m. June 18 and midnight June 19, Patch reported. Windmill Manor Senior Living is located at 2400 Hawks Drive in Batavia.

The woman gained unauthorized access into at least two units in the building and stole a purse from one unit while the resident slept, officials said. The other unit was vacant, and nothing is believed to have been taken.

There were no signs of forced entry to either apartment, police said.
At the time, officials released two photos captured from surveillance footage depicting a woman wearing black clothes, black shoes and glasses around her neck. One image shows her carrying an open pink purse.
