"This season marks our 6th year with the Batavia Farmers Market," Mighty Greens Farm owners Katie and Carlos Palomares said in a statement. "Over the years, we've seen the community rally around the market to help it grow into one of the very best markets in the area. Because of the consistent support, we've been able to grow our farming business to bring more local produce to our community!"

Phil Wingo, owner of Sandhill Coffee, shared similar sentiments and said he has "really enjoyed" his time as a vendor with the Batavia Farmers Market.

"From the vendor’s view of things, it’s awesome to see how Batavia attracts families to come hang out for the morning," he said. "To be able to interact with the makers and or farmers directly tied to the products is a great experience. I highly recommend stopping by one Saturday morning."

The Artisan Collective, which features local artisans in pop-up market experiences, will be joining the farmers market every third Saturday from June through October. There, vendors will sell original artwork, woodwork, macrame and vintage finds, among other things.

Live music performances will also happen weekly on the Woonerf.

For children attending the market with their families, Batavia Kiwanis is sponsoring Kids' Tent where kids can participate in weekly activities that are educational, market-related, free "and just plain fun," organizers said.

A listing of weekly vendors will be available at www.downtownbatavia.com.
