BAC Professional Theater Series Presents 'Nunsense'

The Little Sisters of Hoboken are back and they're putting on a show at the Beverly Arts Center May 12-15.

The Little Sisters of Hoboken are back and in dire need of funds for burials after their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, accidentally poisons 52 of the sisters.

“Nunsense” hits the boards at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St., Chicago. Performances are at 7 p.m. May 12, May 13 and May 14, and 3:30 p.m. May 15.

The story follows the sisters as they decide the best way to raise the money is to put on a variety show, so they take over the school auditorium, which is currently set up for the eighth grade production of "Grease". Meet Reverend Mother Regina, a former circus performer; Sister Mary Hubert, the Mistress of Novices; a streetwise nun from Brooklyn named Sister Robert Anne; Sister Mary Leo, a novice who is a wannabe ballerina; and the delightfully wacky Sister Mary Amnesia, the nun who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head.
