A Morgan Park woman was also lauded for her magnificent backyard garden.

CHICAGO, IL -- A Beverly couple and Morgan Park woman were among the winners of the Chicago Bungalow Association's first ever garden contest. Voting for the contest, dubbed "Bungalow Garden Contest: You Be the Judge!," took place from July 25-28 and garnered nearly 5,000 votes.
The winners of the best Front Garden were Maureen and Eamon Reilly of Beverly, who edged the runner-up by just 18 votes in a close contest, according to a news release from the CBA.
The Reillys said their front garden’s native plants and perennials “look better every year."

Dallas has gradually built up her garden over the past eight years, focusing on the visual look of the landscape and combining her eclectic tastes.
“My intention with anything I design is ‘feel.’ How does it make you feel? My garden, while being quite relaxing as a whole, has many surprises and visual treats that await the visitor who wishes to explore its nooks and crannies,” Dallas said.
The third winner, in the category of best Window/Planter Boxes, was Annie Picard from the city's Galewood neighborhood on the West Side.
All winners received a $250 cash prize.
