The Castle, Heritage Gallery Launch Concert Series
A series of folk music concerts will be held at The Givens Castle and Heritage Gallery from October through May.

CHICAGO, IL - A new concert series will begin in the Beverly/Morgan Park neighborhood next month with performances planned at both the historic Givens Castle (Beverly Unitarian Church) and Heritage Gallery, the 103rd Street art space that holds many works of the late Jack Simmerling.
There will be either one or two concerts planned every month from October through May, alternating locations from The Castle to Heritage Gallery.
Kicking off the series in October will be guitarist, jazz vocalist and songwriter Al Day and keyboardist Bob Long, who will perform at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6 at The Castle, 10244 S. Longwood Drive. Then, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27, it will be Steve Habericther and Nikki Giblin along with John Devens and Julia Dusek-Devens performing original American folk songs and Irish melodies at the Heritage Gallery, 1907 W. 103rd St.

A suggested donation of $20 will go toward the Givens Castle.
The concert series is the result of a generous gift from neighborhood resident Dean Miller on behalf of his late wife, Martha Swift. Swift grew up in Beverly and once led the language department at Morgan Park Academy.
