Chicago Man Charged In South Side Robbery Spree
The man is accused of robbing businesses in the 22nd Chicago Police District.

CHICAGO — A Chicago man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of an armed robbery spree at retail businesses in the 22nd Chicago Police District. Anthony Leftridge, 38, was charged with two felonies for armed robbery with a gun and armed robbery, along with misdemeanor counts of retail theft, fleeing and attempting to elude, and four counts of resisting and obstructing police officers.
Police said Leftridge robbed the same retail business in the 10000 block of South Western Avenue around 7:30 p.m. Sept. 1 and 8:45 p.m. Jan. 16. Leftridge is also accused of robbing businesses around 2 p.m. Jan. 12 in the 10600 block of South Pulaski Road, and 3:15 p.m. Jan. 23 in the 11300 block of South Vincennes Avenue.
He was taken into custody in the 11500 block of Church Street after he police said he attempted to flee.

Leftridge is being held without bond in Cook County Jail, where jail records note his age as 28. He is due back in court Feb. 15.
