Chicago Police Shoot Man on South Rockwell Saturday

He aimed a gun at three police officers during a narcotics investigation, police said.

Chicago Police officers shot a man Saturday afternoon in the 6100 block of South Rockwell Street in the Chicago Lawn community, according to a police statement. The man was shot in the legs by gang enforcement officers. Police were in the area conducting a narcotics investigation at about 4:15 p.m.

The man pointed a gun at an approaching officer, then ran and pointed his gun at two more officers, according to police, at which point he was shot.
