CHICAGO (MORGAN PARK) — A fire at a home in the Morgan Park neighborhood drew a response from multiple Chicago Fire Department fire crews, as fire trucks, police cars and one ambulance responded to 113th and Oakley Friday morning. No one was injured in the fire, which Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said started in the attic and was contained to "a working fire."

The first response came around 8 a.m. on March 6, when someone at Smith Village said flames could be seen coming from the home on 113th Street just east of Oakley.

The flames had been put out at the two-story frame home before 9 a.m., but some firefighters remained in the home, hoses were still being used and a smell of smoke was still in the air from across the street. Two of the top floor windows of the home were broken.
