Frank Cunningham, Owner Of Red's Drive-In, Dies
The owner of the beloved Reds Drive-In at 111th and Artesian has died. Frank "Hot Dog" Cunningham was 90.

CHICAGO, IL - William Frank "Hot Dog" Cunningham Jr., a legend on the South Side, died on Monday. Cunningham, who owned the beloved Reds Drive-In at 111th and Artesian in the city's Beverly/Morgan Park neighborhood, was 90. He owned the popular Reds for 40 years, according to his obituary from the Donnellan Funeral Home.
Cunningham was an American hero, a World War II Navy Veteran. He married Adele Valcke and leaves behind six children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Midlothian Country Club and Evergreen Park American Legion Post 854.
Funeral services for Cunningham will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Donnellan Funeral Home, 10525 S. Western Ave. A procession will move from there to St. John Fisher Church, 10234 S. Washtenaw for an 11:30 a.m. mass. A visitation will be held from 3-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Misericordia Heart of Mercy 6300 N. Ridge Ave. Chicago, IL. 60660-1017.
