Garages Robbed in Beverly: Cops
Uptick in garage burglaries prompt warning from police.

CHICAGO, IL -- Chicago police in the 22nd District are looking for man seen carrying a screwdriver who has allegedly been breaking into garages in the Beverly neighborhood. Incidents have been reported in beats 2213 and 2221.
Cops say the burglar has been entering garages through an unlocked side door or by forcefully open the door with a screwdriver. Residents have reported bicycles, tools and lawn equipment stolen from their garages.
A suspect has been to described to police as an African American male, around 50 years old, 5-feet-8-inches tall and 165 pounds, wearing a baseball cap. The man is also said to be carrying a screwdriver.

Six garage have been burglarized in the area between 9200-9700, Western Ave and Longwood Drive.at the following addresses:
- 9400 Block of South Hamilton
- 9200 Block of South Winchester
- 9600 Block of South Seeley
- 9600 Block of South Bell
