Teen Girl Approached By 2 Men In Van At 83rd And Kolin

Chicago police say two men in a red van tried to abduct a 13-year-old girl Wednesday night in the Scottsdale neighborhood.

CHICAGO - Two men tried to abduct a teenage girl walking in the Scottsdale neighborhood Wednesday night. Police in Chicago's 8th District have issued a community alert in connection to an incident reported Wednesday night, Nov. 28, around 6:45 p.m.

That's when a 13-year-old girl said she was walking in the 8300 block of South Kolin Avenue when two men she didn't recognize got out of a red or maroon work van and attempted to abduct her. She was able to flee the area and call police, but the attempted abductors have not been caught.

The driver of the car is a man, between 5'04" – 5'06" tall and 160-180 lbs. There was no description available for the male passenger.
