Student Carjacked On SXU Campus
A man forced his way into a Saint Xavier University student's car and drove her to Washington Heights, where she escaped and called police.

CHICAGO, IL - A Saint Xavier University student was carjacked on campus Friday afternoon. Campus police have issued a safety bulletin describing an offender who the female student said forced her into the car and drove off.
A spokeswoman for the SXU Public Safety Department said the victim was able to exit the car near 99th and Sangamon in the city's Washington Heights neighborhood, a few miles east of the campus. She called police from a gas station and was not injured in the incident.
The student told police that the man approached her at her car around 1 p.m. when she was attempting to enter it while it was parked in Parking Lot 7 on campus. The public safety bulletin said no weapon was displayed, but police later said the man drove off in the car by force.
