Treadfit Expands With Its First Franchise: Bev Biz Beat
Treadfit will soon open its third location, this one a franchise on Harlem Avenue in Palos Heights.

CHICAGO — Treadfit, the fitness studio at 105th and Western, will soon open a third location in Palos Heights. This one, set to open soon at 12228 S. Harlem Ave., will be the brand's first franchise.
Treadfit Owner Jenny Harkins, a Mother McAuley alum and Beverly neighborhood resident, opened the first Treadfit in Beverly more than four years ago. She since opened another in west suburban Western Springs and the third location in Palos will be franchised out to Mary Kate Cook, a former employee of Harkins at the Treadfit in the neighborhood.

“I am so excited to bring Treadfit to an area that has no other fitness facility of its kind, and I have seen first-hand the positive impact Treadfit has brought to its clients and its communities.” Cook said. “All classes at Treadfit are small so our clients will have the opportunity to have one-on-one instruction that a larger, chain gym cannot offer.
"Our mission is to provide workouts for all fitness levels and we want all clients to feel welcome. I believe the Palos Heights area will embrace Treadfit and will make it their ‘go-to’ fitness facility.”
