Bolingbrook Elementary Students Named Winners in Art Contest
Their art described what it would be like to live without water.
Two Bolingbrook students have been named among a handful of other Illinois students as winners of Illinois American Water’s “Imagine a Day Without Water” art contest.
IAW invited third, fourth and fifth grade classrooms within the company’s service area to participate in the contest, which was held in conjunction with the Value of Water Coalition’s annual event to raise value of water service awareness.
Madison Cereno, a fifth grader at St. Dominic School, and Jorge Mejia, a fourth grader at Bernard J. Ward Elementary, were among the winners. Their art was titled “A day without water is a day without life” and “A house on fire will burn down,” respectively.
