Bolingbrook High School's JROTC Wins Unit Award 7 Years In A Row
The Air Force's Junior ROTC program is designed to educate and train high school cadets in citizenship and life skills.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Bolingbrook High School Air Force Junior ROTC has received the prestigious United States Air Force Distinguished Unit Award seventh year in a row.
Given to "the best of the best of our nation's Air Force Junior ROTC Units," according to Col. Debra F. Bean, director of USAF's USA Junior ROTC program, the award is the highest level unit award given out during a non-evaluation year. This award recognizes units that have performed well above and beyond normal expectations, and that have distinguished themselves through outstanding service to the school and community while meeting the Air Force JROTC citizen development mission for America.
In the previous years, BHS has been selected for its personal growth and accomplishments of the cadets, the contributions of the instructors as mentors of the cadets and the support of the school and community.
