Candlelight Vigil Planned Wednesday After 3 Slain In Home Invasion

BOLINGBROOK, IL — A candlelight vigil is planned Wednesday after three people were slain during a home invasion in Bolingbrook on Sunday.
The vigil will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on the grounds of DuPage Township Center, 241 Canterbury Lane. Attendees should park at the Bolingbrook Community Center or Bolingbrook Public Works; shuttles will take attendees to the township center.
Cartez Daniels, 40; Samiya Shelton-Tillman, 17; and another juvenile, Sanai Daniels, were killed during Sunday's home invasion. Another victim, a 34-year-old woman, was also taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.

Byrion Montgomery, 17, of Bolingbrook, has been charged with nine counts of first-degree murder in the killings. Montgomery appeared in court Tuesday and entered a plea of not guilty, according to the Will County State's Attorney's Office.
