Gong Ho Restaurant Applies For Building Permit In Bolingbrook

Gong Ho currently has a location on 75th Street in Downers Grove​.

BOLINGBROOK, IL — Gong Ho Restaurant will be opening a location in Bolingbrook, Mayor Mary Alexander-Basta shared on Facebook.

The restaurant, which serves Chinese cuisine, applied for a building permit at 339 N. Weber Road.

"While an opening date is not always clear at the beginning of the project, my goal is to be the first to let you know of the development that is happening," Alexander-Basta said.

Gong Ho currently has a location on 75th Street in Downers Grove. According to the business' website, it has been serving the Downers Grove area since 1987. The location offers dine-in, carry-out and online ordering.

Menu items include appetizers like egg rolls and teriyaki beef, soups like wonton and hot and sour, and entrées of chow mein, lo mein, egg foo young, fried rice, seafood and more.

A long-time Bolingbrook restaurant, Golden Chopsticks, which also served Chinese cuisine, closed late last year. Many residents expressed disappointment at the closure of the establishment.
