BOLINGBROOK, IL — A woman has been charged with involuntary manslaughter after a man died from a stab wound on Monday in Bolingbrook, according to a news release from Bolingbrook Police.

As'Jaica Murry, 29, was taken into custody on Monday without incident, according to police. She will be taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

The charge stems from an incident on Monday in the 300 block of Woodcreek Drive, in which a 25-year-old man was stabbed once in the chest, according to police. He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, and succumbed to his injury on Monday.

The man's name is being withheld pending the notification of family members, police said.

Murry, whose address was listed in the 300 block of Grand Canyon Drive in Bolingbrook, was booked into the Will County jail Tuesday evening. She was due to appear in court Wednesday.
