• Catheterization Labs Expansion Now Open In Bolingbrook (patch.com) — Residents in Bolingbrook now have closer access to advanced heart and cancer care with the opening of two new catheterization labs at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook. The $21.6 million expansion adds cutting-edge, minimally invasive procedures and more capacity for emergency and scheduled treatments, supported by a growing team of cardiologists serving Bolingbrook and nearby communities.
   

• Man Robbed Victim At Gunpoint During Online Sale Meetup: Bolingbrook Police (patch.com) — Bolingbrook police report that a 19-year-old from Des Plaines has been charged after an armed robbery during an online clothing sale meetup on Ironbark Way. Officers say the suspect allegedly pointed a gun, stole items, fled in a Dodge Charger, and was later detained in Des Plaines before being transported to Bolingbrook and booked into the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
   

• Big box giant IKEA to make major changes with smaller stores, including in the Chicago suburbs (nbcchicago.com) — Bolingbrook's IKEA will eventually close and relocate to a much smaller store in Naperville, but the Bolingbrook location will stay open until the new site debuts in 2027. Village officials, who only recently learned of the move, are now eyeing redevelopment possibilities for the 27-acre property along I-355 and Boughton Road, a key commercial gateway for local shoppers and tax revenue.
