BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

ARRESTS

OPERATING A VEHICLE WITH NO LICENSE

Carlos Rigobert Cuzco Barreto, 37, of the 1700 block of Hartrey Avenue, Evanston, is accused of operating a motor vehicle with no valid license, overweight trucks, and was arrested at 10:30 a.m. June 26, at N. Milwaukee Avenue and E. Busch Parkway. A court date of July 18 was assigned.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE

Oscar G. Szady, 20, of the 400 block of Wheeling Road, Wheeling, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, no registration on vehicle, and was arrested at 12:20 a.m July 2, in the 3400 block of N. Old Arlington Heights Road. A court date of July 18 was assigned.

INCIDENTS

UNWANTED PERSON

  • Police responded to the 800 block of Corporate Grove Drive at 4 p.m. June 25, for a report of an unwanted person at Nemera 2. The person was advised they were no longer welcome on the property and were given a trespass warning.
  • After clearing a previous call for a fire alarm at the Extended Stay, 1525 E. Busch Parkway, at 6:47 p.m. June 28, police were approached by management, who wanted someone removed from the lobby. Management said the person was being aggressive and refused to leave. The person was advised they were no longer wanted on the property and were given a trespass warning.

THEFT

Police responded to the 1600 block of N. Buffalo Grove Road at 12:33 p.m. June 26, for a report of illegal dumping. A male driver and female passenger had been seen unloading things in and behind the dumpster. They were identified and adjudicated.

CUSTOMER/MANAGEMENT DISPUTE

Police responded to Eva's Mexican Restaurant, 205 W. Dundee Road, at 6:42 p.m. June 26, for a customer/management dispute. A customer related that the toy machine did not give them their desired result, and she became upset, throwing the toys in the complainant's direction. The customer was trespassed at the business' request.

DISPUTE

Police responded to Prairie House Tavern, 2710 N. Main St., at 4:39 a.m. June 27, for a report of a physical altercation. Police met with two males, who said no police services were needed. Both admitted to getting in an altercation, and neither wanted to press charges. Both were taken to their residents without incident.

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

A driver's side window on a Chevrolet Express van was reported smashed at 7:33 a.m. July 1, and tools were taken, in the 700 block of Patton Drive.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS TO VEHICLE

A citizen reported at 3:33 p.m. July 1, that they found their window was open, and the steering column cover was disassembled on their Kia Forte in the 10 block of Oak Creek Drive.
