BIG BLUE SWIM SCHOOL ANNOUNCES NEW FACILITY IN BUFFALO GROVE

Leading Swim-Lesson School Dives into Buffalo Grove

Big Blue Swim School, a swim-lesson school offering child swim lessons, is excited to announce they are bringing their top-rated and unparalleled swim lessons to The Grove Shopping Center in Buffalo Grove at 101 McHenry Rd. The state-of-the-art swimming facility is currently under construction and is set to open its doors in February 2015. Company founders John Lonergan and Chris DeJong made the announcement.

“We could not be more excited to bring our lessons to Buffalo Grove families. We love working with kids and sharing our passion for swimming. It’s so rewarding to watch kids gain confidence in our program. Kids learn to love the water at their own pace while having a blast,” said Lonergan.

The highly anticipated facility is set to be the largest of its kind in Illinois. The 10,000 square foot facility will boast two 90-degree pools with state-of-the-art water filtration systems to provide area families with unprecedented service and convenience. Pre-registration for this facility, which is now available online at www.bigblueswimschool.com, is unique in that families can choose from a variety of scheduling options that allow for all their kids to swim at the same time.

In addition to a first-of-its-kind aquatic facility in Buffalo Grove, Big Blue brings expertise and professionalism to swim lessons. DeJong swam for the University of Michigan and is a former American-record holder, 4-time U.S. National Champion, and former training partner to Michael Phelps. Lonergan was a Big-Ten finalist at the University of Iowa and also competed professionally under U.S Olympic Head Coach Eddie Reese.

Big Blue currently offers lessons in Wilmette and has distinguished itself as the premiere swim-lesson experience in Illinois. The have won “Best Swim-Lesson Experience” by Make-It-Better Magazine three years in a row. The teaching method, derived from DeJong and Lonergan’s experience, has set Big Blue apart. “We find the key to a great lesson is a great teacher. We pour over 100 hours of training into every Big Blue instructor to teach our proven, step-by-step teaching methods,” said DeJong.

Big Blue’s Buffalo Grove facility plans to offer small class sizes to all families through easy, online registration. “We know families are busy which is why we offer benefits like flexible scheduling, free make-up lessons, and online progress tracking with no registration fees. The Grove, located at the corner of East Lake Cook Road and McHenry Road, is currently home to Jewel Osco, Bagel and Bialy, Dr. Ted’s Smile Island Pediatric Dentistry, and many more.

“Our location will allow parents to drop their kids off for a 30-minute swim lesson and run a few errands,” said DeJong. “We’re sure parents in Buffalo Grove and the surrounding area will love the convenience. We can’t wait for people to see it!”
