Cohen Brother's Judo hosts 2013 Veterans Day Judo Tournament at Twin Groves Jr. High
Cohen Brother's Judo Club played host the 2013 Veterans Day Judo Tournament to pay tribute and honor all the people who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. The competition was held at Twin Groves Jr. High in Buffalo Grove and held over 250 competitors of boys and girls from ages 4 to 45.
"This is a great competition and gathers other judo clubs from all over the midwest" said Aaron Cohen, head coach at Cohen Brother's Training Center.
Our club came home with 46 medals total including 18 golds, 12 silvers, and 16 bronze medals.
We are very proud of everyone that competed, it's not easy to go out there and fight against another kid when everyone is watching you, so we give all the athletes a lot of credit. This will help them later in life with anything that they do.
The competition season is pretty much over other than a few development competitions, so we will go back to training the kids and keep getting stronger and getting better everyday.
