Community Members Learn Self-Defense from a Pro
A group of residents are better prepared to protect themselves, thanks to a free program held last week.
How can you be more aware of your surroundings? What should you do if you're attacked? Personal safety expert and police officer Cliffton Paul answered these questions, among others, at Buffalo Grove Patch's Friday night.
The event culminated with some practice kicks, which Paul welcomed to his (padded) shins, all in the name of helping citizens hone their self-defense skills.
The education will continue for at least one attendee. Stephanie Norman won a free self-defense class in a random drawing conducted Friday night.
