Congregation Beth Judea (Il. Rt. 83 and Hilltop Road, Long Grove, Illinois) will join with the Adult Jewish Education Co-op for a very special program presenting Rabbi Karyn Kedar discussing Counting the Omer: Seven Practices of Spiritual Healing. For forty-nine days we take on a discipline, an obligation to mindfully enter the day, to be aware of its potential power to matter, to make a difference, to count for something. Awaken your routine with intention, with attention. This program discussion will take place on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, from 10:30a.m. - noon at Temple Chai, 1670 Checker Road, Long Grove, Illinois. Cost is $15.
Rabbi Kedur is senior rabbi of Congregation B'nai Joshua Beth Elohim in Deerfield, Illinois. She is widely recognized as an inspiring leader who guides people in their spiritual and personal growth. Rabbi Kedar also has created liturgical work which appears in the Reform Movement's new prayer book, "Mishkan T'filah". Cash or check only. Walk-ins welcome.
