BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

ARRESTS

OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT A VALID LICENSE

Karen Veruska Vasquez Salazar, 45, of the 500 block of W. Park Avenue, Libertyville, is accused of operating a motor vehicle without a valid license, failure to yield turning left, and was arrested at 12:21 p.m. April 12, following a car accident at the intersection of Lake Cook and Arlington Heights roads. She was released and assigned a court date of May 17.

Erdenebat Munkhtogoo, 57, of the 3300 block of Carriage Way, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving under the influence, illegal parking, and was arrested at 1:36 a.m. April 15, in the 30 block of E. Dundee Road. Police reportedly found Munkhtogoo asleep behind the wheel of his car, which was parked over a sidewalk. He was released and assigned a court date of May 1.

INCIDENTS

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

  • Police responded to Chick-fil-A, 268 McHenry Road, at 9:31 p.m. April 13, for a report four customers were throwing chairs and making a disturbance. A chair had been bumped over and a flower vase had been knocked over. Management said it was the second time the group had been in the restaurant, causing problems. On this occasion, they had been warned to leave, but after 10 minutes, they hadn't complied, so management called 911. They were trespassed from the restaurant and told not to come back.
  • Police were called to 1200 block of Johnson Drive at 5:03 a.m. April 14, for a report of a disturbance. Four males in their 20s were reportedly yelling in the parking lot. One male said he wanted his gun back. The complainant said they never saw a gun and did not see any cars leave. Police remained in the area for some time, but didn't see anything.

RETAIL THEFT

An employee at Jewel-Osco, 79 McHenry Road, called police at 5:39 p.m. April 15, to report two males had walked into the store and stole $688.84 worth of liquor earlier that day. One placed three bottles of Belvedere Vodka inside a black backpack that was inside his cart. They then proceeded to place 10 bottles of Martell Cognac into the same bag. The person then went to the self-checkout counter and acted like he was paying for some miscellaneous items before leaving the store with the liquor bottles concealed inside the backpack. The second male took three bottles of Milagro Tequila and placed them inside a small black duffle bag, before leaving the store without paying. Both males got into a white Dodge Durango parked in the west lot of the store.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

A resident in the 700 block of Horatio Boulevard called police at 6:30 a.m. April 16, to report their car had been stolen overnight. The owner said they had parked the car in the garage at around 7 p.m. and last saw it at 10 p.m. He said the rear garage door was found open and the car was gone.
