District 214 college counselors are hosting this year's NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) Information Night, "Advising the Student-Athlete," on Monday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m. in the Forest View Educational Center Theater, 2121 S. Goebbert Rd. in Arlington Heights. All student athletes and their parents are welcome to attend.
The presenter will be Maureen Harty, associate director at NCAA. Program topics include athletic opportunities, eligibility requirements, setting your priorities, evaluating your opportunities and marketing your talents. Attendees also will receive a Student Athlete Handbook with additional information in post-high school planning.
