Motorcyclist Clocked At 102MPH; Intentional Roof Damage: Blotter
A motorcyclist was clocked at 102 mph in 35 mph zone; a contractor may have intentionally damaged resident's roof: Buffalo Grove Blotter.
BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
ARRESTS
DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED/REVOKED LICENSE

- Shanon Devon Oshon, 33, of the 1700 block of Joppa Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving with a license suspended/revoked, speeding (46 miles mph in a 30 mph zone), and was arrested at 6:12 p.m. Aug. 3 at Corporate Grove and Busch Parkway. He was given a $2,500 bond and a court date of Sept. 18 in Mundelein.
- Richard E. McDonald, 61, of the 100 block of Lakeview Drive, Oakwood Hills, is accused of driving on a suspended/revoked license, speeding over the statutory limit 59 mph in a 40 mph zone), and was arrested at 4:52 a.m. Aug 4 at W Deerfield Parkway and Hidden Lake Drive. He was given a $2,500 bond and a court date of Sept. 18 in Mundelein.
SPEEDING OVER 35 MPH
- Jordan Xavier Nembhard Lippert, 23, of the 300 block of N Milwaukee Avenue, Wheeling, is accused of speeding more than 35 miles per hour over the limit on his motorcycle (clocked at 102 mph in a 35 mph zone), and was arrested at 9:34 p.m. July 31 at Dundee and Arlington Heights Road. He was given a $2,500 bond a court date of Aug. 21 in Mundelein.
- Vicente Mendez Gonzalez, 37, of the 1100 block of Northfield, is accused of speeding more than 35 miles per hour over the speed limit, being an unlicensed drive, and was arrested at 9:34 p.m. July 31 at Dundee and Arlington Heights roads. His bond was set at $2,500 and he was due in court Aug. 21 in Mundelein.
ISSUANCE OF WARRANT

- Carly L. Harris, 38, of the 1300 block of Johnson Drive, Buffalo Grove, is accused of having an active warrant out of Lake County for a retail theft in Wheeling, and was arrested at 9:54 a.m. Aug. 1 at her home. Her bond was set at $50,000.
- Gabriela A. Carrillo, 41, of the 200 block of Armstrong Drive, is accused of having an outstanding bond forfeiture warrant for a DUI arrest in Buffalo Grove, and was arrested at 3:20 a.m. Aug. 1 following an investigation by the Palatine Police Department for an incident there. She was given $10,000 bond and a court date of Sept. 9 in Rolling Meadows.
INCIDENTS
PUBLIC COMPLAINT
A customer called police at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 4 to report that the Shell gas station on Milwaukee Avenue was not in compliance with the Gov. Pritzker and the Village of Buffalo Grove's mask mandate. When police arrived, they observed everyone in the business following the mandate. The sales clerk said there's a sign in the front of the business asking customers to comply, but they can't follow everyone around that enters the business to ensure they have a mask on.
SUSPICIOUS AUTOMOBILE
Resident in the 900 block of Burgess Circle reported at 2:54 p.m. Aug. 2 observing occupied cars parking in the off-street parking areas near their homes during the overnight hours. One resident said they had observed unfamiliar cars over the course of two weeks using the parking lot for possible drug use. They had found numerous Q-tips with a brown residue dumped in the area.
ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY
A resident in the 1300 block of Johnson Drive called police at 3:55 p.m. Aug. 2 to report damage to a television and Playstation due to entry or loud banging on the wall. The television had fallen.
DECEPTION
A resident in the 2400 block of Madiera Lane reported at 1:54 a.m. Aug. 1 an unknown person ordered $108.33 worth of sushi from their Door Dash account. The resident stated they did not authorize the transaction.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE AND TRESPASS TO PROPERTY
A resident of the 800 block of Shady Grove Lane reported at 5:06 p.m. Aug. 3 that they wanted to replace their roof and solicited three different contractor companies for estimates. They also had an adjuster and engineer from the insurance company do inspections. The engineer concluded that the creased and missing shingle tabs were intentionally damaged and were not as a result of wind or hail. The resident believes one of the contractors intentionally damaged the roof.
