State Representative Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, announced that her office will once again be hosting their annual youth art competition in recognition of March’s Youth Art Month and April’s Earth Day.
“It is important that we take the time out of our busy schedules to admire our youth’s talent and work to further inspire their artistic gifts,” Sente said. “I am hopeful that this friendly contest will not only serve to encourage our children’s creativity, but also as an opportunity for them to learn about the importance of Earth Day.”
All of the drawings received by Sente’s district office will decorate the walls throughout the months of the competition. Then, right before Earth Day, April 22nd, Sente will choose a winning entry and announce it in her email newsletter.
