Lincolnshire, Ill – State Rep. Carol Sente is encouraging District 59 residents to take advantage of Illinois Free Fishing Days from June 7 to 10.
“This opportunity is a unique way to encourage residents of Illinois to spend time outdoors and take advantage of the numerous natural resources that Illinois has to offer,” Sente said. “District 59 residents are very fortunate to be within a short drive of a variety of fantastic fishing sources like Diamond Lake in Mundelein.”
The Illinois Free Fishing Days celebration is an annual event sponsored by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. During the four days of this celebration, new and seasoned anglers may fish without a fishing license, a salmon stamp, or an inland trout stamp.

“Free Fishing Days is a great way to help our residents – no matter their age or experience level – discover that fishing is a fun, family activity available to all Illinoisans in nearly every corner of the state,” said IDNR Director Marc Miller.
