VERNON HILLS, Ill. – State Rep. Carol Sente, D-Vernon Hills, is encouraging constituents to continue contacting her with their opinions throughout the duration of the upcoming veto session.
“All throughout this past summer and fall, I have been out in our community walking door-to-door and attending events, listening to constituents share their thoughts on the issues affecting our state,” Sente said. “I place great value in these interactions, as they assist me in identifying new issues that are of concern locally, and help shape my legislative agenda for when I return to Springfield.”
Veto session is scheduled to run between Oct. 22 to 24 and Nov. 5 to 7. In efforts to maintain an ongoing dialogue on developments in the General Assembly, Sente will be holding one of her Coffee Shop Stops from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Starbucks in Buffalo Grove located at 1665 N. Buffalo Grove Road, which is before she returns for the second week of veto session.

“There are both outstanding and new pieces of legislation that may be called for a vote next week in the General Assembly, and I look forward to incorporating the views of the district in the decision-making process should they come up,” Sente said. “I am hopeful that constituents will continue to stay engaged with me by expressing their thoughts on an ongoing basis.”
Residents are encouraged to regularly share their thoughts with Sente at her regular outreach events throughout the community, via email at RepSente@gmail.com, or by phone at (847) 478-9909.
