Spring Musical 'Working' Set To Begin At Buffalo Grove High School
Performances of the show, based on the book by Studs Terkel, run through Saturday at the school's Miller Theatre.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — For three nights, Buffalo Grove High School's Bison Grove Theatre Company will present its spring musical, "Working," in the Miller Theatre. The show, based on the book by Studs Terkel, will be performed at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
According to High School District 214, the show "paints a vivid portrait of the workers that the world so often takes for granted — the school teacher, the phone operator, the waitress, the millworker, the mason and the housewife, to name just a few."
"Working" is nominated for six Tony Awards, this classic has been updated for a modern age, and features new songs by Tony Award-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda, as well as favorites by Stephen Schwartz, Craig Carnelia, James Taylor, Micki Grant and more.

Seating is general admission, with tickets priced at $15. Online tickets for any of the shows include a service charge and may be purchased at GoFan.Co. The box office opens 60 minutes before curtain time. Cash, checks and credit/debit cards are accepted at the door.
The production is co-directed by Beth Wells and Lauren Stenzel, BGHS theater arts program directors, with vocal direction by Debora Utley. They are assisted by Natalie Liigsoo and Ani Skiles, student assistant directors, as well as choreographers Maya Anbinder and Charlotte Anne. The BGHS costume crew is led by Debbie Andres, costume director, with student Costume Chief Riley Wendricks. BGHS House Management is provided by Debbie Jacks.

According to the district, the pit orchestra is under the direction of Joshua Stewart. Technical director is Ed Conkle, assistant technical director is Ethan Goldspiel and the sound director is Phillip Tschammer. Sam Haas is student technical director.
