Suspicious Vehicle Call Results In 2 Weapons Arrests: Buffalo Grove PD
Residents are being credited for working with police and reporting the suspicious activity.
BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Two Ohio women, who reportedly had guns, cannabis, and alcohol in their car, were arrested last Wednesday following a tip to police regarding a suspicious vehicle.
According to police, the arrested were:
- Driver Destiny Gaal, 19, of the 9000 block of Manhattan Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio, who was charged with an unlawful use of a weapon, and was issued a local ordinance citation for soliciting without a permit
- Passenger Marie Norfleet, 18, of the 1400 block of Beechmeadow Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio, was charged with two counts of felony aggravated unlawful use of a weapon with no Firearms Owners Identification Card, or Concealed Carry License, and possession of a firearm under 21 years of age, and issued local ordinance citations for soliciting without a permit, possession of alcohol by a minor and possession of cannabis.
The Cook County State's Attorney's Office approved the felony charges.

Police had responded to the 800 block of Thornton Lane at around 6:30 p.m. Dec. 4, following a call of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival at the scene, officers four people in the vehicle and detected a strong odor of cannabis. During their search of the vehicle, officers discovered a 9 mm Glock handgun, a magazine containing 10 rounds and a stun gun pen, along with improperly sealed cannabis and a 50 mL bottle of alcohol.
The other two vehicle occupants, Jackson D’Impperio, 20, and Eric Brown, 26, both of Ohio, were issued local ordinance citations for soliciting without a permit. Brown received an additional local ordinance citation for possession of cannabis.

"This is a great example of residents working with our police department to keep our community safe," Buffalo Grove Police Chief Brian Budds said. "A community member saw something unusual, and called to report it."
